Team principle: once your two are in place, the priority shifts to helping them get their two — their own directs are the only thing that qualifies their positions to catch payments. Signups beyond your 2 still pay your position the entry reward and spill downward to fill open slots in your leg (good depth!), but spillover never qualifies the people below — so the team effort always moves down.
